TECHNIQUES FOR GROWING SEEDS
Step 1: Sow cucumber seeds
- Soak cucumber seeds in warm water for about 8 hours, then remove and place in a planting medium (such as soil tablets) for sowing in a cool place or plant directly into loose soil.
- Use a water spray to water the cucumber seeds in the morning and evening.
- After about 1-2 days, the seeds of baby cucumbers or chùm cucumbers will start to germinate.
- After about 4-6 days, the seedlings are strong enough and can be moved to loose soil and exposed to sunlight.
- Japanese cucumbers are very easy to care for and have good disease resistance, so you don't need to care for them too much.
- In the 3rd to 4th week after planting the seeds, the plants will start to bear fruit with fruit that tastes sweet, crunchy and can be harvested continuously.
- During the fruiting period, pile up soil around the roots and apply trun quế fertilizer once a week to maintain plant health and increase fruit production.
Step 3: Harvest cucumbers
- Chùm cucumbers take about 30-40 days from planting to harvest. Fruit can be harvested after reaching 4-5 days of age and if left too long, the quality and ability to flower and fruit in the next cycle will be affected.
- Harvesting can be done continuously every day.
- Yield depends on the type of seed and planting season, as well as proper care. In one hectare of land, fresh cucumber production can reach 40-50 tons. However, for this type of chùm cucumber, production can reach 60-70 tons if given good care according to the rules.
